PostHeaderIcon From Mom, with Love

I was tired last night when making lunches, so no exciting food art today, sorry. I did, though, make everything a theme, plus I used Lunchbox Love notes, and that makes everything better. With 2/3 of the girls not feeling well, I thought a theme of Mama Loves You would be appreciated.

photo 1(1)G2’s lunch is packed in an Easy Lunchbox. Packed in the silicone heart cups are more of the MOMables-inspired gluten-free crackers and some Havarti with dill cheese. I’ve added a 3D heart in with the crackers and a heart mini fork in with the cheese, plus I cut the cheese and the crackers into heart shapes. G2 has been feeling sick, so I’m hoping this, plus the message that she’s #1 will help perk her up. I added a heart mini fork in with the 2 Joe Joe gluten-free Oreos and in half a satsuma. I only recently found satsumas, and now I can’t get enough of them. She also has a Lunchbox Love joke in her lunch.

photo 2(1) G3’s lunch is also packed in an Easy Lunchbox. They are so versitile and sturdy, I just love them! G3 has some heart-shaped cheese in a silicone heart cup, plus a 3D puffy heart. In the rest of the large section of her ELB she has 4 ham roll-ups. Two are skewered with heart mini forks, one with a heart skewer, and one with a larger heart mini-fork. In the top small section she has 2 Joe Joes and in the bottom half of a satsuma, both with heart mini forks for color and lurve. In her Snoopy bento box she has a Joe Joe Oreo and a chocolate covered peanut butter ball, both in mini silicone cups. I put several grapes in a silicone heart cup,  too, plus packing a Lunchbox Love joke. I hope she picks up on the subtle theme that she is loved.

photo 3In G1’s lunch, the “Mama loves you” theme really is subtle. In her  Laptop Lunch Bento Buddies she has two Joe Joes with a 3D puffy heart slipped into a mini silicone cup. In another mini cup are several grapes. She has very minimal side dishes because I packed a good-sized slice of last night’s lasagna into her Thermos. She also has a Lunchbox Love joke, it’s just not in this picture.

PostHeaderIcon Angels and Christmas Love

No lunches yesterday – G1 went on a field trip, and G2 and G3 were home with a stomach bug. Blerg. So, we have some sweet, angelic lunches for today in response to a day’s break. All three girls have Christmas Notes from Lunchbox Love today to brighten their days after a very long day yesterday. We’re not fans of stomach bugs.

Christmas love and xmasG1’s lunch included tomato soup in her Thermos, and the rest of her lunch in her Totoro Bento Box. At left is the bottom, sealed compartment, and she has a Christmas angel flying with two hearts, all made out of tofu. The face is drawn with food-safe markers, and the hearts have the word XMAS made with alphabet food picks (I’d really prefer to spell Christmas, but it isn’t possible with only 1 set of letters) and a homemade heart pick. At right is the top, vented, compartment. That has a vegetarian and gluten-free rice krispie treat with Christmas MnMs in a silicone heart cup with a green heart food pick, some pineapple in an EasyLunchboxes Mini Dipper with a heart fork, and in two mini silicone cups are a homemade chocolate peanut butter ball and a pink chocolate heart symbolizing the love of Christmas.

Christmas love and Love G2’s lunch is packed in an Easy Lunchbox. She has two provolone and mustard sandwiches on gluten-free bread. One sandwich is in the shape of an angel, decorated a smidge with food-safe markers, with a crown. The other sandwich is in the shape of a heart and has the word LOVE spelled out with alphabet picks and a homemade heart pick. At right in the small section she has some carrots and a little panda container of ranch dressing, plus a homemade heart pick. In the lower section she has a chocolate peanut butter ball , a pink chocolate heart, and a vegetarian (made with Marshmallow Fluff rather than marshmallow) rice krispie treat, plus a pink heart food pick.

Christmas Love & SnacksG3 also had  tomato soup in a Thermos, which isn’t in the picture. She’s really fussy about parts of her lunch and snack being in different containers, so she has a total of 4 containers for a lunch and a snack. Compare that with G2’s 2 containers for both (G2 has an unpictured container with Smart Puffs inside). From left to right, we have a Laptop Lunch Bento Buddies container of TJs scoop chips, then an Easy Lunchbox. The larger section of her ELB has two Babybel cheeses and some Christmas Love in the form of a Christmas rice krispie treat and a pink chocolate heart, plus a princess pick. In the smaller sections she has Honeycrisp apple slices and some pineapple chunks, both with heart picks – one homemade and one not. Finally, in her Snoopy bento box she has some more Honeycrisp apple slices and a heart fork in a Bento Buddy and a chocolate peanut butter ball in a silicone heart cup.
