Fall family 2013

Welcome to The Gaggle of Girls’ Bentos blog!

We are a Mormon family of 4 – I’m the mom, I work part-time as a paralegal, and spend the rest of my time with my 3 daughters. My oldest, G1, is 15 and in 10th grade. My middle daughter, G2, is 13, in 8th grade, and has recently become a vegetarian. My youngest, G3, is 10 and in 4th grade. We live in a small, small house in a small coastal town North of Boston. I’m currently engaged, and we’ll be moving into a normal-sized house in ourtown once we get married and become a family of 5.

We’ve been playing with food for a while. My daughters and I all have Celiac disease, which was diagnosed in 2003, and we have outgrown intolerances to dairy, soy, egg, and corn. G3 also has a berry allergy. I’ve been cooking since I was a kid, and still love it. In fact, baking is my main stress-relief valve, but I also bake on weekends so we’ll have good food to eat. Bento boxes seemed to be the next logical step – and they’re so much fun!
